Furutech Alpha Series Power Cable
Japanese power cable with copper conductors treated by Furutech's Alpha Process.
Furutech, founded in Japan in 1988, builds its products around what it calls Pure Transmission. The Alpha Series power cable uses α (Alpha) conductors: copper that has been through Furutech's two-stage Alpha Process, a deep cryogenic freeze followed by demagnetisation, which Furutech says relieves internal stress in the metal and improves conductivity.

What it solves

Alpha treatment process
Furutech cools all metal parts to between −196 and −250 °C with liquid nitrogen or helium, then demagnetises them with a patented ring process. According to Furutech, this relieves internal stress in the metal and improves conductivity.
α (Alpha) conductors
Furutech gives the α (Alpha) name to conductors that have been through the Alpha Process. The treatment also covers its plugs and every other metal part in its products.
Precision connectors
Furutech also designs its own plugs, wall sockets and power distributors, built to exacting manufacturing standards and Alpha-treated like the conductors.
