2 × 2.0 mm² is enough for short runs and most bookshelf speakers; 2 × 3.4 mm² suits longer runs and larger speakers.

Both are low-inductance designs. Rondo's four conductors make bi-wiring possible from one cable per side; Ply is a flat two-conductor cable.

Flat-conductor speaker cable with very low inductance.

Ply's flat, tinned conductors are laid face to face in a "sandwich", which gives very low inductance. It comes factory-terminated with crimped CombiCon connectors, banana and spade plugs included, in 2 × 2.0 mm² and 2 × 3.4 mm² versions; the 3.4/S version adds a shield.
