Matrix Audio NT-1
Flagship transport: linear power, fibre networking, external clock input.
The NT-1 is Matrix Audio's high-end streaming transport. A 60 W linear supply with separate windings powers the digital core and an isolated USB DAC output, an SFP port accepts fibre or Ethernet modules, and a 10 MHz input lets you lock it to an external clock. Outputs: AES/EBU, coaxial, optical, I²S-LVDS and USB.

What it solves
Engineered to deliver accurate sound in real rooms, not just anechoic chambers.
Full linear power
A 60 W toroidal transformer and multiple low-noise regulators, with separate windings for the digital core and the USB output.
Isolated USB, fibre networking
The USB DAC output is electrically isolated from the rest of the device, and an SFP fibre module isolates the NT-1 from your network.
External clock input
Lock it to a 10 MHz reference clock, such as Matrix Audio's SC-1, or use its internal femtosecond clock.
